Poor Woody. He came in from the pasture for breakfast with a big patch of hide missing and a
huge scrape down his nose. I used a home remedy told to me by my Vet (wasn't that nice?). Mix 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1/2 cup cooking oil. Spread it on the wound. The sugar keeps out the bacteria and the cooking oil keeps it moist. Apparently my rescue horse is accident prone. Well, as another Vet told me "If you put a horse in a rubber lines room, he will find a way to hurt himself". True for Woody.

Our blog (a web log or sort of
online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop
picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein. I write it all
myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the
pictures with a Minolta digital camera. I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I
find something interesting or have something interesting to
say (and even sometimes when I don't).
